The site is located in the town center of Zavattarello in the province of Pavia in the region of Lombardy. Zavattarello, the green pearl of the Oltrepò Pavese, is a small Medieval borough in Oltrepò Pavese area in the high valley of the Tidone river. The site is located in a central square of the town in Piazza (Square) delle Verme. Zavattarello is about 70 km south of Milan and about 35 km south of Pavia.
