In the middle of the small park at the intersection of the Grand Rue and Rue des Ecoles. Monument A rough red sandstone stele which holds a granite plaque, text in French with gold leaf inscription.  The insignia of the 314th Infantry Regiment and 79th Infantry Division are pictured and colored.

Le 314e Regiment d'Infanterie US a libere FREMONVILLE le 19 Novembre 1944.  A la memoire des 13 Tues et 35 Blesses de la 79e Division d'Infanterie US.  


ENGLISH TRANSLATION:  The 314th US Infantry Regiment liberated Fremonville on 19 November 1944.  In memory of the 13 dead and 35 wounded of the US 79th Infantry Division
