Right at the intersection by the side of the road Monument


Two red granite plaques with gold inscriptions in french and english, mounted on a boulder which is set on a stone terrace surrounded by gravel and lawn. 

 The first plaque remembers the 157th Infantry Regiment, 45th Infantry Division, who liberated the village of Vidauban on 16 Aug 44. The second plaque is to the citizens of Vidauban who took part in the liberation of their city. The inscription is in French and English in gold leaf.
